What Happened in 2009, 2010, and 2011?
In response to comments received from the public on the Draft EIR/EIS for the proposed original Mid County Parkway, RCTC took action on July 8, 2009 to focus the project limits to the portion between I-215 and SR-79.
In early 2010, RCTC and its partners, FHWA and Caltrans worked closely with the federal resource agencies to modify the project Purpose and Need to reflect the revised project limits and to develop a modified set of alternatives to be evaluated in the Recirculated Draft EIR/Supplemental Draft EIS in response to RCTC’s Board action.

What is Happening Now?
In 2011, RCTC, FHWA, Caltrans, and the MCP project team revised the existing technical studies and prepared supplemental studies to address the changes to the Mid County Parkway project.
A Recirculated Draft EIR/Supplemental Draft EIS is being prepared to describe the modifications to the project, summarize potential impacts and describe measures to avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects.
What Happens Next?
The Recirculated Draft EIR/Supplemental Draft EIS will be released for a public review. FHWA, Caltrans, and RCTC will hold an additional public hearing during this review period and the public and reviewing agencies will be able to submit verbal and/or written comments in response to the modified project. Additional details on how to submit comments will be announced closer to release of the Recirculated Draft EIR/Supplemental Draft EIS.
RCTC and its partners will review and consider all of the comments received from the public and reviewing agencies before any action on a final project is taken.
